Gall Bladder Surgery

Between my last entry and now I have undergone gall bladder removal surgery. Not something I had planned, of course, but something that needed to happen. I got sick two weeks ago tomorrow and since then have either been in a position of feeling sick and waiting for surgery or feeling sick recovering from surgery. But now I am feeling better, bit by bit and have begun working again (from my bed)
Just thought I would put a few pictures in from the night before my surgery. I was home with the kids alone, Trip was camping and they were all hanging out in bed with me. I really enjoyed spending so much time with them that night. Eva and Ellis slept in bed with me that night, then I got up half way through the night and got in bed with Lee.

Thanksgiving was very nice yesterday. Trip made the whole dinner and then we went over to our friends house for desert. I ended up feeling too worn out this morning, I think I over did it, but I feel much better now.

School is back in on Monday. I know Trip will be happy to go back to work and stop having to wait on me. He has been a great, but I can tell he wants to go back to his routine.

Redawan in town

My sister, Redawna, and her husband came to town for an office supply convention. They own and run an office supply business in Greenfield, IN
We had a great visit, even though I felt like I worked so much while she was here. My kids don't get a chance to see her that often.
She french braided Eva's hair. I can only french braid my own hair, but I have never mastered it with someone else. Maybe someday soon I will get Eva to sit still long enough for me to try it again.

Ellis and Lee

These two are either non stop play with each other or get away from me, I'm mad at you. Usually they totally enjoy each others company. This was one of those mornings last week.
The last picture is of Ellis (aka Candy Swiper) in action. I am at the point with this Halloween candy that I am going to throw it away. This year it just seems to be never ending!

This young lady inspired me today

I am priveledged to have been asked to take photographs for a local Foster Care Foundation. Today was their first fund raising event and I took photographs of the foster children. I just felt so taken by this young girl. I had to share her beauty. She inspired me, through all of her hardships in life and her teenaged desire to fit in and have a "normal" life, she sat in the midst of chaos today in a corner doing her math homework. She couldn't believe I came in the room to get her to take her photograph. She has no parents, but said she was only taking half of the day off of school for this event. What??? She finished what she needed to do, changed her clothes, ate a small lunch and headed off to school. Every other child there took the whole day off.

A great day for me.

Batman

Lee said he wanted to be Batman probably two or three months ago. He stuck with it, he didn't change his mind. I am still amazed at how boys can do this.

This other picture is of my Chachi. (s0n of friends of ours) he is growing so fast..when we moved here this boy had colic, now he is in the first grade.

Halloween

The Halloween parade! I love watching the little kids parade around the school in their costumes. It's just so cute, they always play some cute Halloween song over the loud speaker and all of the pre-K and Kindergarteners walk through the hallway twice. All of the older kids sit in the hallways and chear them on and wave. The kids love it and I have to say, I look forward to it every year.

Eva was a charm school witch for Halloween and Ellis was supposed to be a little Pocohantus, but last minute chase into one of her ballet costumes.
Ellis asked me today if we could do Halloween again tomorrow.

Still taking pictures and editing. I think possibly 9 or 10 photo sessions before my holiday season is officially closed. Nevermind, I just counted, I have 12. I think my right eyeball is going to have a permanent squint from being left eyed! (and handed as well)

Trip took Eva to the GA FL game today..too bad our dawgs lost..or as Ellis calls them, the bodogs. Tomorrow Eva has a Girl Scout meeting which she and I are in charge of leading...:-) ask me if I'm prepared...I will be by tomorrow.
