Street Party

I couldn't seem to get my kids to put their juice boxes down for this picture. Eva was dressed as a punk rock chick. Lee and Ellis need no description. Chi Nung all the way.

Leaves from Indiana

My Mom sent the kids some beautiful leaves from their yard in Indiana. They loved them, especially Ellis since she has some kind of leaf fascination these days. The kids were in a very posing kind of mood on Sunday, so I took advantage of it.
Enjoy your week!

For those of you who say you can't imagine Lee pouting.

This is one of those m0ments that I usually don't have my camera in hand for, but now it has been captured. When I have told some people that Lee has "pouting tendancies" it seems so hard for them to believe because he is typically so happy and energetic. This pout was in the midst of playing puppy with the girls and he was upset that he had to give up his turn with the puppy dog towel. (a big favorite in our house) Don't concern yourself too much though, because this attitude only lasted about 1 minute and then he was running around playing again.

No new pictures so far this week

Let me first say that my goal is to put new pictures up here every week! I have not made that goal this week, but trust me, it's not for lack of using my camera. Last week was a good week for photo sessions, just not of my own children.

Today is Monday, I can't seem to ever shake the Monday blahs. Ellis is sick which means it's not pleasant Monday for anyone. She started a cold about a week ago and began coughing a little at night, now today she is sounding very stuffy and has a low fever. I am beginning to think Dr. Cowan will get a call this week from us. (We have become regulars there with all of Lee's shots) Some kids are clingers when they are sick, some just nap, Ellis just lets it all go. She puts everything on the line. She is grouchy and won't nap. She wants things right away, but she wants me to leave her alone. I'm only wishing that she would recover in the next 15 hours so she can go to school tomorrow.

My kids have discovered a new thing to "play" with. Ellis and I went to the Dollar Tree last week and she picked out a package of Care Bear diaper wipes. We don't even need diaper wipes anymore, but she was so excited about the package that I thought, whatever, it's only a dollar. Turns out once we got home Ellis believes these wipes can be used for cleaning anything! It's kind of nice. Yesterday she and Lee walked around the house with these wipes cleaning the door frames and the toilet seats. I'm so impressed. They have been wiping up spills on the floor with them, Ellis even used one for wiping her fanny yesterday. Who knew they were all purpose? Now I'm thinking, what a bargain! 80 wipes for a dollar. We still have at least 40 left and the kids think they are some kind of special Care Bear thing. I may always need to keep these in my house.

Ellis has decided to be Sleeping Beauty for Halloween, Lee wants to be a red Power Ranger and Eva has decided on a Ninja girl I think. I only have Ellis' costume so far, so I need to get on the ball.

Yesterday I was notified by the woman who used to care for Lee that his birthday is different than we were originally told. It turns out that he is a New Years baby! I was very surprised to hear from her, but very pleased. She sent us some new pictures of Lee's friend, Dong. He has really grown.

For anyone who is interested you may want to check out a blog called vietnambabybabybaby.blogspot.com. The lady who is now picking up her children is named Kelley, she lives in Arizona and is picking up some boys Lee spend most of his life with. She is also picking up a baby girl at the same time. Her hands are going to be full, but I think she sounds up for the challenge. I am very happy for her, but know that since her G & R was for the boys today, that she is exhausted. (The boys are twins and turned 9 in August)

I will try to post some pictures this week.

Some of my favorites from the day

Posted by Picasa

Four photo sessions in one day

It's been a full day of picture taking, I'm very thankful that the weather cooperated today. These are some of my favorite pictures taken today. We are spending the night up in New Smyrna again and the kids have been having a good time. The beach is too rough to play today, but they have enjoyed the pool.
I will post more later, my eyes are getting very heavy.

this picture may show up twice

Two from the weekend

I never got these posted. I like this one of Lee a lot. I tried to get Ellis to get in the picture with the other children playing with the dog (Dixie, Lillian and Mary Morgan's dog) but she refused. The last picture here is of my niece, Sara. I am putting it up just because I think she is pretty. I took some pictures of her over the summer and not sure if I ever posted any or not.

We are going over to the beach again this weekend and hoping for good weather since I have three photo sessions scheduled. I have not had good weather for pictures there so far this season. If I get some good ones (or any for that matter, a may post a few up here)
