Let me first say that my goal is to put new pictures up here every week! I have not made that goal this week, but trust me, it's not for lack of using my camera. Last week was a good week for photo sessions, just not of my own children.
Today is Monday, I can't seem to ever shake the Monday blahs. Ellis is sick which means it's not pleasant Monday for anyone. She started a cold about a week ago and began coughing a little at night, now today she is sounding very stuffy and has a low fever. I am beginning to think Dr. Cowan will get a call this week from us. (We have become regulars there with all of Lee's shots) Some kids are clingers when they are sick, some just nap, Ellis just lets it all go. She puts everything on the line. She is grouchy and won't nap. She wants things right away, but she wants me to leave her alone. I'm only wishing that she would recover in the next 15 hours so she can go to school tomorrow.
My kids have discovered a new thing to "play" with. Ellis and I went to the Dollar Tree last week and she picked out a package of Care Bear diaper wipes. We don't even need diaper wipes anymore, but she was so excited about the package that I thought, whatever, it's only a dollar. Turns out once we got home Ellis believes these wipes can be used for cleaning anything! It's kind of nice. Yesterday she and Lee walked around the house with these wipes cleaning the door frames and the toilet seats. I'm so impressed. They have been wiping up spills on the floor with them, Ellis even used one for wiping her fanny yesterday. Who knew they were all purpose? Now I'm thinking, what a bargain! 80 wipes for a dollar. We still have at least 40 left and the kids think they are some kind of special Care Bear thing. I may always need to keep these in my house.
Ellis has decided to be Sleeping Beauty for Halloween, Lee wants to be a red Power Ranger and Eva has decided on a Ninja girl I think. I only have Ellis' costume so far, so I need to get on the ball.
Yesterday I was notified by the woman who used to care for Lee that his birthday is different than we were originally told. It turns out that he is a New Years baby! I was very surprised to hear from her, but very pleased. She sent us some new pictures of Lee's friend, Dong. He has really grown.
For anyone who is interested you may want to check out a blog called vietnambabybabybaby.blogspot.com. The lady who is now picking up her children is named Kelley, she lives in Arizona and is picking up some boys Lee spend most of his life with. She is also picking up a baby girl at the same time. Her hands are going to be full, but I think she sounds up for the challenge. I am very happy for her, but know that since her G & R was for the boys today, that she is exhausted. (The boys are twins and turned 9 in August)
I will try to post some pictures this week.
